How does Localify work?
Localify automatically tracks customer events on your Shopify store, detects their market preferences (locale, language, country, currency), and forwards this data to your Klaviyo account. Customer profiles are enriched in real-time with market data.
Do I need a Klaviyo account?
Yes, you need an active Klaviyo account. Localify forwards events to Klaviyo—it doesn't replace Klaviyo. You'll need your Klaviyo Private API key to connect the two platforms.
Is Localify free?
Yes, Localify is currently free to install and use. There are no hidden fees or usage limits. You'll only pay for your Klaviyo subscription (their pricing applies separately).
Is my data secure?
Absolutely. All data is transmitted via HTTPS with HMAC-SHA256 signature verification. Your Klaviyo API key is encrypted and stored securely. Customer event data is processed in real-time and not stored permanently.
What events does Localify track?
Localify tracks 7 event types: Page Viewed, Product Viewed, Collection Viewed, Added to Cart, Started Checkout, Form Submitted, and Search Submitted. Each event includes market data (locale, language, country, currency).
Is Localify GDPR compliant?
Yes, Localify is GDPR compliant. We act as a data processor on your behalf. Customer data is forwarded to your Klaviyo account and not stored permanently. Upon uninstalling the app, all data is deleted within 48 hours.
How do I uninstall Localify?
Simply uninstall the app from your Shopify admin (Apps → Localify → Delete). Your data will be automatically deleted within 48 hours. The tracking pixel will be removed from your store.

Localify is built and maintained by mailmeisters, a Klaviyo and Shopify specialist agency based in the Netherlands. We created Localify to solve a real problem we encountered with our clients: the gap between Shopify Markets and Klaviyo's multi-market capabilities.
